Dan, Derick & David Begin Fly-Fishing Clinic at “Fox Event Center”: (Pre Registration Required) max 18.

Bring your own equipment or we will supply you with fly-fishing equipment. Just let us know ahead of time so we will be prepared for you. Bring rain gear, hat with visor, rugged closed-toe shoes, personal prescriptions such as EpiPen or inhaler, polarized sunglasses with lanyard, forceps to release fish, a pair of nippers on a ‘zinger’ (when we tie knots you will want to be able to trim your work or nip off a fly etc.) and bug dope (moving water and black flies go together). If you have waders you may want to bring with you because the streams are cold.

8:45 AM - 9:00 AM: Yoga warm up/cool down prior to Hike/Mt. Bike Rides with Ginni Robie, Certified Yoga Instructor

​*9:00 AM: Guided hike on a segment of the Fly Rod Crosby Trail (Pre Registration Required). Begin your segmented guided hike of the Fly Rod Crosby Trail. Short and medium guided hikes can begin when you arrive. (Pre Arranged & Pre Registration Required) #1 Phillips Trail Head to Railroad Museum/Sanders Station #2 Sanders Station to Fox Carlton Pond #3 Fox Carlton Pond to Toothaker Pond #4 Toothaker Pond to Madrid Trail Head #5 Madrid Trail Head to Perham St. Bridge.

*9:00 AM: Mt. Bike Rides, 9am, 10am, 1pm, 2pm, Rides can be of varying lengths, must be pre arranged. 7 bikes available by Northern Lights: Meet at Fox Hall - pre registration suggested

11:00 AM and again at 12:30 PM: When the RR line opened in the 1890’s, the Sandy River RR and the Phillips and Rangeley RR jointly operated a passenger train called “Fast Fly Fisherman”. Although the RR no longer runs between Farmington and Rangeley, “Fast Fly Fisherman” train rides will ride again and include a re-enactment of Fly Rod Crosby. A replica of Steam Engine #4 will power the ride. $6 each. For more information go to – http://www.srri-rr.org
11:30AM - 1:30 AM: FREE LUNCH (hot dogs, chips, soda) to all attending the Exhibition at Fox Event Center.

11:15 AM – 4:30 PM: Exhibitors Area open to Public in “Fox Event Center”

*11:30 AM - 4 PM – Outdoor Survival Skills Clinic
Introduction to Servants in Action Instructors and mission statement for SIA.
A) Clinic will kick off with a power point presentation on Survival Principals.

B) Gear packout considerations for winter/summer hikes along with survival kit considerations.
C) Firecraft: fire demo including showing how to start a fire using bow & drill. 20 sets of dry bow & drill sets will be available for those who want to try their luck.

*12:00 PM – 4:00 PM: ​Dan & Derick continue Fly Casting Clinic on “Fox Carlton Pond”. Demonstration on "Spey" one handed fly casting.

12:30 PM - 1:15 PM: Author Tim Caverly, www.allagashtails.com, doing Power Point Presentation of his book “So you think you know Maine” and holding a book signing.

1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00: Free Giveaway drawing of 5 of each guides favorite trout flies. Must be present to win. Sign up at “The Fox Fly Shop Booth”.
2:30, 3:30: Free Giveaway drawing of 1 pair of WETSOX. Must be present to win. Sign up at “The Fox Fly Shop”.

1:00 PM to 4:30 PM: Picker's Paradise Boat Sales on Route 4: Seller Fee is $10.00 pre-registration, non-refundable, $20.00 day of event. (Space is Limited) If you want to sell your fishing boat, (max 16ft.) canoe, or kayaks come and display your boat for potential buyers to view.

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Author Pam Matthews holds book signing on her new children’s book about Fly Rod Crosby
3:45 PM - Fly Fishing clinic return to “Fox Event Center” for Fish tales, Photo and Graduation Certificates.
4:15 PM: Bucket Raffle drawing at “Fox Event Center” -- Proceeds to benefit the non-profits in attendance.

4:30 PM: What Fishing Products/ Flies should I consider buying. -- Guides inside Fox Hall

5:00 PM: Dinner & Show with “The Sandy River Ramblers” at Philips Area Community Center
